The Fifteenth Sunday After Pentecost

In today’s sermon, Deacon Kathleen Moore speaks about forgiveness and justice.   Living as part of a community is difficult, and it requires the ability to forgive.  The Lord’s Prayer exhorts us to practice forgiveness; it is our “Bargain with God” as C. S. Lewis puts it.  Deacon Moore reminds us that forgiveness is not the same as justice as she touches on the practices of retributive and restorative justice.

Today’s readings are Genesis 50:15-21, Romans 14:1-12 and the Gospel According to Matthew 18:21-35.  You can follow along with our online bulletin by clicking on this link.
