The Eleventh Sunday After Pentecost

In today’s sermon, Deacon Kathleen Moore shows that our readings call us to acknowledge that we live in a world of ‘haves’ and ‘have-nots’.  The inclusive messages of the first and second readings are contrasted with a seemingly exclusionary message from Jesus.  Then Christ meets a Gentile woman who offers him a reminder that there is enough good news for everyone.

Our readings today are Isaiah 56:1,6-8; Romans 11:1-2a, 29-32 and the Gospel According to Matthew 15:21-28.  You can follow along by reading our online bulletin by clicking here.
