Elizabeth is a life-long Episcopalian, born and raised in DeLand, FL attending St. Barnabas. Following her graduation from the University of Florida she lived in Orlando where she attended the Cathedral Church of St. Luke.
Married to Roger, almost 40 years ago at Emanual Episcopal in Orlando, their professional lives took them to LaGrange, GA where they were members of St. Mark’s, to Indianapolis where they attended Trinity Episcopal, and finally to Tampa, worshiping first at St. Mary’s and, for the last ten years at St. John’s where she serves on the Grace Guild and the Altar Guild’s Wedding Guild.
Elizabeth and Roger have four grown children and ten grandchildren.
Currently semi-retired, Elizabeth has been a small business owner and marketing consultant. Prior to consulting she was co-executive director for Friends of the Tampa Riverwalk, executive director of Leadership Indianapolis, special assistant to Mayor Bill Frederick of Orlando, director of marketing for Orlando’s Downtown Development Board, publicist for Sea World of Florida, and vice president of Jane Hames & Associates, a public relations firm. In 1986 she was recognized as Orlando’s Downtown Woman of the Year.
Since moving to Tampa in 2004, Elizabeth has served on the Auxiliary Board of Mary Lee’s House, the board of the H. B. Plant Museum Society, and the board of the Beach Park Women’s Club. She is a member of the Junior League of Tampa Sustainers. She has served on the Board of Governors of St. Mary’s Episcopal Day School and chaired the live auction for the Tampa Museum of Art’s Pavilion.
Elizabeth enjoys family time, traveling, and reading (not listening to books).
