Tweed Eckhard (2025)

Tweed is a life-long Episcopalian and joined St. John’s in 1995 when she married Rick Eckhard. Tweed has volunteered as a Sunday School teacher, Vacation Bible School teacher, and as Newborn Ministry co-chair; currently, she assists on the Holy Hospitality Committee and delivers altar flowers. Tweed was a member of the St. John’s School Board of Trustees from 2008 to 2014, during which time she served as Secretary and Vice Chair.

Tweed graduated from the University of North Carolina. She is currently a Trustee on the Berkeley Preparatory School Board and a member of the H.B Plant Museum Society Board. She has also served on the boards of the Tampa Museum of Art, Champions for Children, and Camp Merrie Woode (NC).

Tweed and Rick have three children, Carson, Sykes, and Skip, who were baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Church and attended St. John’s School. Their daughters were acolytes prior to attending college, and Skip currently serves as an acolyte.
