Laura Hobby has been a member of St. John’s since 1985 when her parents, Bob and Lynda Vawter, joined the church. St. John’s has been the center of her life since then. She married her husband, Clarke Hobby, at St. John’s and her children, Charles and Virginia, were baptized at the church. Laura’s involvement in the church has included volunteering with the children’s ministries in a variety of roles. Currently, she is a member of the Altar Guild. Professionally, Laura is an educator with over 20 years of experience in public and independent schools. She is the art teacher at Mitchell Elementary School in Tampa and loves to see some of her students- past and present- on Sunday mornings at church.
