Look Both Ways!
We have seen a recent increase in the numbers of cars going the wrong way down Orleans Avenue. Although it is a one-way street, drivers sometimes don’t see, or even choose to disregard the signs to that effect. Therefore it is important to ALWAYS look both ways when crossing, each and every time you cross.
Calling All Christmas Trees!
Do you have an extra artificial Christmas tree lying unused in your attic? Perhaps you would like to donate it to the Church for one month this season? The Projects and Outreach Committee is looking for a medium-sized tree to use on Sunday mornings from November 13 through December 4 for the St. John’s Giving Tree. It would be most appreciated if interested tree volunteers are able to both deliver the tree in November and retrieve it in December. Parents of minors under 18 years of age must also complete a Metropolitan Ministries waiver and bring it with you to the Tent on the 20th.This event will be a wonderful way to give back to the community during Thanksgiving as well as continue to build our own community of amazing youth!
We are looking for enthusiastic young readers to participate in our monthly Family Services. If your child is interested in doing a Reading or leading the Prayers of the People, please contact Whitney Wolf (firstname.lastname@example.org) and we’ll put you on the roster!
