Greeters and Shepherds Meeting

Organizational Meeting for Greeters and Shepherds
Calling All Parishioners:
St John’s is a joyous place to worship and find new friends.  Every weekend, newcomers walk through our doors looking for a new church home.  In the past, we have had a welcoming and energized group of parishioners at our doors to greet new faces and shepherd them to other parishioners who may have similar interests.  This weekend, we want to begin revitalizing the ministry set up to do this very important work of the church.
Please join me, and our new ministry leader Melissa Ariss, between the 9:15 and 11:15 a.m. services this Sunday, February 21,
in the Lowry Room.  The meeting will take place roughly from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. that morning.  We’ll talk through what it means to be a greeter and shepherd, and hopefully persuade a few of you to join us in this ministry.  It’s easy and fun, and can really make a difference in the life of someone looking for fellowship at St John’s.
We hope to see you there, and remember Hebrews 13:2 – ”
Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it.”
Many Blessings,
Steve Stanford
