Alice Announcement 3.16

Dear Parish Family,
I am deeply saddened to tell you that Mother Alice Sadler was found dead in her apartment earlier today.
Mother Alice came to St. John’s in the summer of 2014 from Trinity-by-the Cove in Naples, Florida. She instituted several new programs at St. John’s and rekindled others. Her efforts revitalized our parish life committees, strengthened our outreach programs, and led to new initiatives like the
Bible Women study group. But more than any of her accomplishments, Mother Alice will be remembered for what her flock at Trinity-by-the-Cove termed “an infectious passion for ministry rooted in God’s reconciling and healing love through Jesus Christ.” In her short time at St. John’s, Mother Alice became a very beloved member of our parish family as she touched so many of our lives.
Funeral arrangements are still being planned at this time, and we will let our parish family know the details as soon as they are finalized. I know you will join me in keeping Mother Alice in your prayers along with her brother, James, and her nieces Anny, Bess, Irene, and Marian.
Yours in Christ,

The Rev. Charles E. Connelly
Rector, St. John’s Church
