The Bereavement Ministry supports those who are grieving.
- The Grief Support Ministry contacts grieving parishioners as soon as the church learns of their loss. Ministry members communicate the parish’s love and concern, offer specific assistance, assist the grieving in finding any needed resources, and develop supportive connections. Several times a year the Grief Support Ministry offers a Service of Remembrance to remember our loved ones by name and to celebrate their lives. The service is followed by a reception to give those who have experienced a loss a chance to connect with other parishioners who are going through a similar loss.
- Walking the Mourner’s Path is a Christian program created to help those who have experienced the death of a loved one transform their grief into joyful living. It is designed for a small group of eight to twelve participants to share discussion over eight weekly sessions. The group is guided by two trained parish facilitators and an excellent workbook.
