Saint John's participates in mission trips to the Dominican Republic each year. The Diocese of Southwest Florida
has had a formal companion relationship with the Diocese of the Dominican Republicsince 1997. The Dominican Development Group, is a multi-diocesan non-profit organization headquartered at DaySpring whose purpose is to assist in the development and self-sufficiency of the Dominican Episcopal Church. Adult missions are conducted in coordination with the Tampa Deanery, a group of Episcopal churches in the Tampa area, and the Companion Diocese Committee based at DaySpring.

St John's youth has also participated in mission trips, both in the Dominican Republic and in the United States. The youth mission teams are a part of our parish youth group activities.

Two mission efforts for which we have asked for financial support in 2010 involve the Tampa Deanery Project with our Companion Diocese in the Dominican Republic and a Youth Mission Trip to work with Native Americans in Arizona. Included here is a link to 2010 Mission Trip Appeal information sent to the congregation.
