St John's has had a Choir of Men and Boys since 1962. It is one of very few of it's type in the USA. The choir is open to residents of the Tampa Bay area, regardless of religious affiliation. The choir sings the 9:00 a.m. service on a Sundays, and uses English Cathedral repertoire, with music drawn from as early as the fifteenth-century.

The Boy Choristers rehearse before school on Tuesday mornings, from 7.30 - 8.15, and with the men on a Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m., as well as prior to service times. The altos, tenors and basses include both trained volunteers and professional singers.

The Choristers also sing for weddings, memorial services, and concerts. Recordings of the choirs have been made over the years to raise awareness of the choir, and to help fund the music program. In addition to guest appearances throughout Florida, the choir has journeyed as far as New York and San Francisco as well as undertaking foreign tours to the England and France. A trip to the UK is being planned for 2010.
