Confirmation in St. John's on Sunday, May 19, was a wonderful celebration of our faith, with 11 youth confirmands, 8 adult confirmands, one person received into the Episcopal church, and one person reaffirmed. From the Reverend Doug Remer:  I am very happy to announce the appointment of the Reverend Douglas L. Zimmerman as our new Associate Rector for Pastoral Ministries, effective March 1st. Before I tell you about Fr. Zimmerman, however, let me tell you how his appointment came about.

Our St. John's Centennial Celebration concluded during the weekend of September 29 and 30, 2012, with three terrific events, starting with the Annual Benefit Concert on Saturday evening, September 29, given by our Combined Choirs. 

Our Choir of Men, Boys, and Girls recently returned from a tour of New York City and Washington, D.C. The choir sang a Festal Eucharist on Sunday, June 24, at St. Thomas Church, Fifth Avenue, then traveled to Washington, where they sang two services of Choral Evensong at the National Cathedral on Monday, June 25, and Tuesday, June 26.
