Empowering Christian Families
Families are the wellspring of civilization, of variety, and every person's personal development. Can family also be a wellspring for our development as Christians, and our lifelong journey of faith? We will explore both our own understanding of how this is so, and how the Bible and Church help us to realize it, in a six week class titled "Empowering Christian Families". We welcome all adults regardless of their family path--parent, grandparent, son and daughter--we all have a call to relationship as part of our Christian faith, and we all will have opportunity to explore those relationships for new meaning in this class. Six classes will focus on different topics, from family roles to daily habits to accepting change, and we will examine each topic together with a Christian lens, led by Mother Stefanie Taylor. Her husband, Arthur Taylor, will co-lead, introducing contemporary understandings of family and development to broaden the discussion. We look forward to dialoguing with you as we encounter our Christian selves and family selves as one.
