Education for Ministry (EFM)
is a small Christian community of six to twelve members. For nine months our group meets every Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Peterson and Lowry Rooms. Our weekly seminar is guided by trained mentors and includes worship and prayer; self-study readings; training for theological reflection; lessons in group process; and preparation for formal and informal, non-ordained ministries. The four years of self-study contain the Old Testament, the New Testament, Church History, and Theological and Moral Choices. EFM is an extension program of theological study developed and supported through the School of Theology at the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. People from other parishes or denominations are welcome.
